Valbonne Christmas Market

The 2014 Christmas market in the village of Valbonne took place from December 20 through 24. Taking advantage of the fact that our year-end vacation had just started, we took the bus from Cannes to what used to be our village and strolled through the streets, admiring the many different items being sold. After I took a photograph of some really cute baby stuff from La Poule Qui Rit ("the laughing chicken") the lady behind the table gave us a business card and asked that we let her know when the photo was online. We've done that, but we can do even more: we invite you to have a look at this Valbonne company by visiting their Facebook page (in French only). After having enjoyed a delicious coffee and a piece of lemon cake, we took the bus back home. We love Cannes, but when it comes to the Christmas market, we prefer Valbonne.

Even though many different types of items are being sold... ...the emphasis is definitely on food!
